Easter Egg Jello Jigglers!

Do you remember these from the early 2000’s????  Well, they are back and you are able to get them from Walmart while supplies last!

I would make these for my kids every year for Easter when they were young!  I made a variety of flavors!  There are so many options!!!

If you are feeling really ambitious and have extra time, you can try something like these!  Remember the rainbow Jello salad that you made in a 13 x 9 pan?  Well, this is the same idea but in Egg Jiggler form!

Jell-O Jiggler Eggs are a fun Easter treat made by dissolving 6 oz of Jell-O in 1½ cups boiling water and pouring it into greased, sealed plastic egg molds. Refrigerate for 3–4 hours or until firm, then unmold for a wobbly egg-shaped treat. A “creamy” version uses sweetened condensed milk or pudding mix.

Basic Jell-O Egg Jigglers Recipe

Steps:

  1. Prep Molds: Spray inside of egg molds and rims with cooking spray.
  2. Seal Molds: Close the mold securely.
  3. Mix Gelatin: Stir boiling water into gelatin mix in a large bowl for 3 minutes until completely dissolved.
  4. Fill & Chill: Pour into the mold through filling holes until full. Refrigerate for 3 hours (or overnight for best results).
  5. Unmold: Use a dull knife to gently pry between the halves of each egg to open.

Tips for Success:
  • Better Texture: Use slightly less water than the box instructs (e.g., 1 to 1½ cups for a 6 oz box) to ensure they are firm enough to hold their shape.
  • Filling: A plastic medicine syringe or a funnel works best to fill small holes.
  • Creamy Version: Stir in 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk to the dissolved gelatin mixture for a creamy “egg” look.
  • Stained Glass/Multiple Colors: Fill the mold with different colored gelatin cubes and fill in the gaps with a neutral-colored (white) jelly mixture.
  • Easier Release: Dip the mold briefly in warm water to help with unmolding.

This is another fun activity for the kids!  They can pick their favorite flavors of jello to make and then even help pour the jello into the molds.  They will have even more fun EATING them!!!!!!!  I hope you enjoy this fun recipe and a blast from the past!!!
